Scootersafe

At 16 years of age you are legally allowed to hold a licence to drive a moped. However, the open road is a dangerous place and Scootersafe is an initiative set up by PC Neil Colledge and PC Keith Jaggard to help new scooter riders in Warwickshire become safer and more confident road users.

Scooter dealers in the area are supporting Scootersafe by offering their customers the option of taking a ride out with PC Colledge or a member of his Scootersafe Team.

Accompanied rideouts will be on a one to one basis and you will be taught important survival skills to help you stay safe out on the roads, as well as helpful advice on security and protective clothing.

If you would like to book a ride out, please complete our online form and Scootersafe will contact you.

There is no cost involved, but you will be required to have a CBT Certificate, insurance and licence before booking

From Easter 2005, in partnership with Warwickshire County Council, Scootersafe are taking Scootersafe into our County's schools. They have 3 mopeds and all the protective helmets, jackets and gloves. It will be aimed at year 10 pupils and they will receive input on all areas of safety, security and ownership, culminating in trying a moped, under supervision.
