Homophobic or Transphobic bullying is when you or someone you know is:
- being called names or made fun of either by an individual or a group of people
- being hassled, pushed, threatened or even beaten up
- having personal items stolen or vandalised
The statements above are for all incidents of bullying, but where the bullying turns into homophobic or transphobic bullying is when the following is included in the mix:
Homophobic bullying is when you or someone you know are being abused because you are or others think you are lesbian, gay or bisexual.
Transphobic bullying is when you or someone you know are being abused because you are or others think you are transgender.
